So Mayfest draws to a close and time to catch a breath again... Another successful beer festival with more mayhem, music and madness, plenty of ales and, of course, that little something special.
Being responsible publicans, we were pleased to be able to offer 2 cheeky little low alcohol brews from Scott & Bruce, aka Williams Bros. Brewing. Ginger Beer (fermented fresh root ginger and malt brewed beer, sweetened with lemon juice and golden sugar) and Tickled Pink (cask conditioned ginger and tayberry joose). Both drinks debuted at the festival and, though far from the ordinary one might expect from a festival line-up, the overwhelming reaction was extremely positive.
There were also plenty of the usual suspects from across the Highlands & Islands to ensure that our Mayfest crowds remained spoilt for choice. Add to that an eclectic mix of live music, a little bit of sunshine, not a lot of midges (thanks to the cold spring) and you've got a recipe for another great week at Clachaig.
On now with the finishing touches to Octoberfest, our next festival which, surprisingly, is going to be in October. See you there!
